Most transcriptions of Bach's music was written for the piano. From the plethora of edits, reinterpretations, metamorphoses of Johann Sebastian Bach's works for piano, the pianist Angelika Nebel has selected a number of lesser-known transcriptions, which relate primarily to organ works, especially chorale.
Her selection offers some world premiere recordings; the program sequence is oriented on the church year. Angelika Nebel joins in their play musical integrity, warmth and concentrated architectural rigor.
